Ambassador Tete António is  the current Minister of Foreign Affairs of Angola, seasoned African diplomat and economist whose international career has been dedicated to advancing democratic values, peace, and security across the continent. He has served as the Permanent Observer of the African Union to the United Nations since 2009, playing a central role in representing Africa’s collective interests within the UN system. With extensive experience spanning peacebuilding, conflict prevention, and multilateral diplomacy, he has held senior roles with the African Union and the Government of Angola, including advisory and ambassadorial positions related to the UN Security Council and Peacebuilding Commission. Educated in economics and international relations, with specialized training in conflict management and preventive diplomacy, Ambassador António is also a published author on African peace and security issues and has participated in international election observation missions, earning wide respect for his depth of experience and steady diplomatic leadership.
