Oba Dokun Thompson is the Oloni of Eti-Oni in Osun State, Nigeria, a historic cocoa-growing community, and the Founder of the International Cocoa Diplomacy (ICD). A progressive traditional ruler, he is recognized for integrating cultural leadership with modern economic diplomacy, positioning cocoa as a catalyst for community development, youth empowerment, climate resilience, and Africa’s competitiveness in the global agricultural value chain. Through ICD, he has advanced Africa-led conversations on ethical cocoa, sustainability, and value creation, engaging governments, development partners, investors, and global industry stakeholders.
