Morrisons bosses are set to scoop a jackpot of almost £40m after accepting a £7bn takeover bid from Clayton, Dubilier & Rice. Morrisons was founded as a market stall in Bradford by William Morrison, whose son Sir Ken transformed it into a national grocer within 50 years. The US private equity giant, which is being advised on the deal by Sir Terry Leahy, offered to pay 285p per share for the supermarket group. Kenya Airways (KQ), through its subsidiary Fahari Aviation, is set to introduce flying taxis Nairobi. The agreement with Fahari Aviation, the unmanned aircraft division of KQ, aims to design a network for the safe operation of Electric Vertical Aircraft (EVA). Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer SA announced its flying taxi unit Eve had signed an agreement with Fahari Aviation to develop operating models in its key markets. At Instabul – Turkey, the death toll from severe floods and mudslides along Turkey’s Black Sea coast has climbed to at least 51, the country’s emergency and disaster agency said Saturday, as authorities disputed reports that hundreds of people were missing. Torrential rains that pounded the Black Sea provinces of Bartin, Kastamonu and Sinop on Wednesday caused flooding that demolished homes, severed at least five bridges, swept away cars and rendered numerous roads unpassable.
