Johannesburg, South Africa – – At the YLC IDEAL Leadership 2025 Conference, held in Johannesburg under the theme “Harnessing Collective Power,” leadership advocate and IWF Fellow Karen Matsiko delivered an inspiring address that spotlighted the transformative role of women in shaping Africa’s future on the global stage.

Drawing from her International Women’s Forum (IWF) Fellowship journey, Matsiko emphasized that true leadership is deeply rooted in community and mentorship. She underscored the urgency of positioning Africa globally by exchanging best practices with nations that have pioneered women’s leadership at the highest levels.

Her keynote message was anchored on four key pillars of executive presence:
• Mentorship and Cultural Intelligence – building bridges across borders and fostering inclusivity.
• Resilience – thriving and excelling in the most demanding environments.
• Authenticity – leading with candor, grace, and integrity.
• Owning Power – exercising strength with wisdom and restraint in the boardroom.

“This is a call to women everywhere,” Matsiko urged. “Lead boldly, mentor generously, and harness the collective power to transform the future.”

The YLC IDEAL Leadership Conference continues to be a platform for advancing leadership excellence, fostering collaboration, and equipping leaders with the tools to address pressing global challenges.
